Avivatech Achieves Broader SOC 2 Type 2 Certification
Company is now certified for Security, Availability, and Confidentiality; the XpressControl™ solution is now SOC 2 Type 1 certified
ALPHARETTA, Ga., July 23, 2024 – Avivatech LLC, an innovative software business specializing in cash and check automation solutions for branch banking and retail payment environments, announced today the successful expansion of its System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type 2 certification to include the Availability and Confidentiality criteria, in addition to the Security criteria. This achievement demonstrates the company’s ongoing commitment to adhering to the rigorous security standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Avivatech was first granted SOC 2 Type 1 certification for security in November 2022. The SOC 2 Type 1 certification confirmed the existence of appropriate internal controls that met the AICPA Trust Services Criteria for security at a given point in time. The company then pursued the SOC 2 Type 2 certification, which involves a more rigorous and ongoing audit that tests those processes for at least six months.
In May 2023, the company earned SOC 2 Type 2 certification for the Security criteria in the SOC 2 framework. The most recent audit renewed the company’s SOC 2 Type 2 certification for Security and evaluated Avivatech’s internal controls, policies, and procedures against two additional Trust Service Criteria: Availability and Confidentiality. The resulting report attests that Avivatech has the systems and protocols across several customer-facing applications and internal infrastructure to prevent unauthorized access, use, or modification of confidential information; protect confidential information; and ensure availability of operations and solutions for use.
The attestation covers several of Avivatech’s transaction-handling and dashboard applications, including:

- The XpressCash™ solution
- The XpressScan™ solution
- The QDS Capture solution
- The Vault by Avivatech™ solution
- The Clear by Avivatech™ solution
In addition, Avivatech has achieved SOC 2 Type 1 certification for the XpressControl transaction management application.
